Unlock the secrets to repetition in marketing

What are you selling and who do your prospective customers think of when they are in need of your product or service? If your answer is your opposition, you have a problem.  So how do you solve this?  Do you remember being in school and how you learned your times tables?  Well the same technique applies to your customer learning who you are and what you do.  The only way to do this is repetition. Repetition is the key.

Once you have tought your customers to become aware of your brand and your brand is the first thought that comes to their mind when they are in need of your product or service, this is called brand awareness.  Brand awareness is simply another term for familiarity with your product or service and the importance of familiarity is massive.

The first time a customer sees your brand, they are often thinking “who are you?”  The second time they see your brand, they are often thinking “I’ve heard of them before” and the third time they see your brand they are often thinking “I think I know them” and so on.  This is the process of creating familiarity and credibility and your customers start to see you as a serious establishment.  The more familiar they become with your brand, the more notice they will take.  It’s all to do with confidence in your brand.

So how do you create repetition without becoming boring?  The answer is simple, if you have multiple products or services, just focus on one of your products or services, per campaign.  We recommend hitting the same areas 3 times, either a week or a fortnight apart.  It’s best to concentrate on a small area, and hit it repeatably, close to your business, rather than a wide area accaisionally.  It a wider area there is going to be a lot more competitors.  Why would your customers want to travel past your competitors to come to you.  This is your point of difference as you are local.  The only reason that they will travel past 15 competitors is because you supply something the others dont.  This may be a unique product or service, or simply because your level of service is far superior to your competitors.
